HEALTH INSURANCE

Individual Health Insurance:

A policy purchased by an individual for themselves and their family based upon personal needs and budget.

Group Health Insurance:

Provides coverage to a group of members and/or their dependents, usually comprised of company employees or members of an organization (such as a union) through insurance, reimbursement, or otherwise.

Medicare Supplement Insurance:

Health Insurance policy that can help pay some of the health care costs that original Medicare doesn't cover, like coinsurance, copayments, or deductibles. Private insurance companies sell Medigap policies.

Medicare Advantage Plans:

Medicare Advantage Plans are another way to get coverage of your Medicare Part A and B, sometimes referred to as “Part C”. Medicare then pays a fixed amount for your coverage each month to the company offering you a Medicare Advantage Plan. Advantage plans must follow rules set by Medicare but can also offer coverage for things not covered by Original Medicare such as, some vision, dental, hearing, and fitness programs.
